Chris Ehrmann-Rivera
Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and DP
I am a Latino director and cinematographer who has traveled all over the world for work.
My cinematography and directing strives for patience, intimacy, and beauty to explore complex stories and difficult subjects. Previously, I worked as a journalist for several years and have honed my storytelling skills with integrity, compassion, and respect.

Some of my achievements include a 2019 Emmy nomination, receiving the Brian Pollack Award for documentary filmmaking in 2022, Detroit Narrative Agency selection, and the being a part of the inaugural class of the Moment Institute Middle East Fellows program in 2023.

Some of the news organizations I've worked with include the Associated Press, Report For America, USA Today, Spectrum News, and The GroundTruth Project.
I hold a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and have worked in India, Namibia, Ghana, Argentina, and Colombia.

Bonus fun facts: I am trilingual in Spanish and Arabic and I have a husky named Tundra and she's traveled all over the country with me!
